Today I had the sad and frustrating task of weeding out old member listings due to invalid email addresses.  I've stated many times in the past that my goal is to maintain a website with accurate info on band alumni so that others can come to the website and find usable information on their band friends. To that end, my policy has always been that once a year, typically after renewing the website each year in June, I would identify entries with bogus email addresses and remove them from the membership listing. Today I removed around five such entries.

Before removing entries, I first check for significant biographical info or band memories. If I find any, I will generally leave the entry in place even though I don't like having member listings with incorrect email addresses. In the case of the five I deleted today, none of them had a shred of info beyond a name and maybe a current hometown, so I felt there was no strong reason to keep them. I never like losing an alumni member, so PLEASE remember to visit the website periodically and update your entry to include a valid email address and whatever updated bio info you care to post. I and your fellow alumni will appreciate it.
