Alumni on Facebook

I think there are already several online "homes" for GHS Band alumni, but this week upon joining Facebook I found yet another one. It's populated mostly by newer grads, which is not surprising and helps explain why we don't tend to have many new grads represented here. I want to mention it since it will likely eclipse what we have here and thus you may be interested in migrating that direction, but I don't have any immediate plans to close this site down. If for no other reason, I intend to keep it going just because I'm not going to waste my time uploading hundreds of photos already posted here to Facebook. Wink I guess if you want to see my stuff you'll have to come here, but otherwise you may find the alumni group on Facebook worth a look.

To that end, my policy has always been that once a year, typically after renewing the website each year in June, I would identify entries with bogus email addresses and remove them from the membership listing. Today I removed around five such entries.

A Word to Mac Users

If you're a Mac user with Safari and have had trouble getting the registration/update portion of the website to work, I apologize for the difficulties. I exchanged email with one such person this week when she encountered an error while trying to update her member entry. Upon investigation I found that those pages, while designed to be as browser-agnostic as possible, had a problem that prevented them from working with Safari and possibly other browsers. That problem has been corrected and she has tested it by successfully updating her entry. If any of you encounter any further browser anomalies, please let me know instead of writing the website off as trash. I'll do my best to make sure it works properly for everyone, no matter what browser or OS you're using.
